Yes. Retrofitting fuel storage and dispensing infrastructure into an existing hardstand is achievable, subject to site constraints and environmental compliance. We assess the existing site and design an installation that meets current standards.
It depends on fleet composition and trailer turn volumes. A typical regional linehaul depot may require 3,000–8,000 m² of hardstand for trailer parks, manoeuvring and dock access — in addition to the building footprint. We prepare site capacity analyses as part of early design.
Truck hardstands subject to frequent heavy vehicle loading should be designed for a 30-year design life with periodic maintenance — typically 250–350 mm reinforced concrete on a prepared sub-base, with designed joint patterns and appropriate curing. We engage a pavement engineer for each application.
