Hoarding & Squalor Clean Up

Hoarding & Squalor Clean Up — Compassionate & Discreet

Sensitive, professional clean-up for properties affected by hoarding or squalor across Brisbane, Gold Coast and SEQ. These situations involve real people navigating significant personal, medical or mental health challenges — and we approach every job with discretion, respect and no judgement.

Overview

More than a clean-up — often a genuine biohazard

Hoarding clean-ups frequently involve not just the removal of large volumes of accumulated belongings and waste, but the management of genuine biohazards: mould, rodent and pest activity, human or animal waste, sharps and other dangerous materials. Our team is trained and equipped for all of these conditions.

Every property is different, and we conduct an initial assessment before any work begins — including a safety assessment, as hoarding can conceal building defects, water damage, mould and structural issues.

What’s involved

What a clean-up typically involves

Sensitive removal of belongings

We work with the individual, family, guardians or agents to identify items to retain, donate or dispose of — treating the process with sensitivity and never removing items without authorisation.

Biohazard management

Human or animal waste, pest activity, mould and sharps, managed with appropriate PPE and biocidal treatments throughout.

Deep clean & reinstatement

Once cleared, surfaces are cleaned and decontaminated, hazardous materials managed under our licences, and repairs, painting and restoration coordinated to return the property to a habitable, marketable standard.

Common questions

Hoarding clean-up questions

We work collaboratively with the person and their support network. Clean-up progresses at a pace that is manageable and respectful, and we do not remove items without appropriate authorisation.

Severely affected properties can present structural risks, biological hazards and falling hazards from stacked materials. Our team conducts an initial safety assessment before general entry and is equipped with appropriate PPE.

This varies enormously with property size and extent of accumulation. Small apartments may be completed in one to two days; severely affected houses may require a week or more. We provide a realistic estimate after the initial assessment.

Yes. We can provide detailed quotes and invoices in the format required by insurance companies, NDIS plan managers, aged-care providers and public guardians.
