Asbestos Removal & Disposal

Asbestos Removal — Safe, Licensed, Fully Compliant

A-Class licensed asbestos removal for residential, commercial and industrial properties across Brisbane, Gold Coast and SEQ. We handle every category of asbestos-containing material and issue independent air-monitoring clearance certificates on completion.

Why it matters

Asbestos is the greatest cause of occupational disease deaths in Australia

If your property was built before 1990, there is a realistic possibility it contains asbestos-containing materials (ACM). If it was built before 1980, that possibility becomes a high probability.

Older Brisbane suburbs such as Annerley, Wynnum, Coorparoo, Zillmere and Holland Park — and older Gold Coast communities including Southport, Labrador and Nerang — have significant concentrations of pre-1990 housing and commercial stock. We remove ACM from every one of them.

What we remove

Every category of asbestos-containing material

From stable bonded sheeting to the most hazardous friable material — our A-Class licence covers it all.

Non-friable (bonded) asbestos

Fibro wall and eave cladding, corrugated super-six roofing, flat sheeting, floor tiles, fencing. A licence is required over 10m².

Friable asbestos

Pipe and boiler lagging, sprayed fire retardant, loose-fill insulation, deteriorated tile backing. A-Class licence mandatory — which we hold.

Full clearance documentation

WHSQ notification, independent air monitoring, clearance certificate and licensed disposal manifests — the file you need to sell or renovate.

Our process

A documented eight-step removal

Every job is delivered against a site-specific SWMS with regulatory notifications and a full compliance file.

  • Inspection & sampling

We inspect the property and collect samples where ACM is suspected. Samples are analysed by a NATA-accredited laboratory.

  • Risk assessment & quote

A detailed scope of works and fixed-price quote identifying all ACM, removal methods and timeframes.

  • WHSQ notification

At least five business days before commencing, we notify Workplace Health and Safety Queensland as required under the WHS Regulation 2011.

  • Site preparation

The work area is isolated and signed. For friable work, a negative-air enclosure and decontamination facilities are established.

  • Safe removal

ACM is removed using wet methods to suppress fibres, double-bagged or sheeted, labelled and sealed to the Safe Work Australia code.

  • Air monitoring

During A-Class removal, an independent occupational hygienist verifies fibre levels remain within safe limits.

  • Clearance inspection

The hygienist conducts a visual clearance and final air monitoring. A clearance certificate is issued once the area passes.

  • Licensed disposal

All ACM waste is transported under a hazardous-waste manifest to a Queensland EPA-approved facility, with documentation provided.

Cost factors

What determines the cost of removal

We provide itemised, fixed-price quotes with no hidden fees — small outbuildings start from a few hundred dollars.

  • Quantity and type of ACM (non-friable vs friable)
  • Accessibility — roof vs floor vs wall, single vs double storey
  • Site location and any travel required
  • Disposal fees, priced by weight at licensed facilities
  • Whether air monitoring and clearance certification is required
  • Extent of site preparation and enclosure needed
Common questions

Asbestos removal questions

In Queensland a homeowner may remove up to 10m² of non-friable ACM from their own residence without a licence, provided it is not a rental — but safe disposal is still required. We strongly recommend a licensed removalist regardless: the health risks of disturbing ACM improperly are severe and long-term.

Visual identification is unreliable. The only definitive method is laboratory analysis of a collected sample by a NATA-accredited laboratory. We provide asbestos inspections and sampling across Brisbane and Gold Coast.

Stop work immediately, vacate the area, and call a licensed removalist. Do not attempt to clean up debris yourself. We offer emergency asbestos clean-up for exactly this situation.

For all A-Class (friable) removal, a clearance certificate issued by a licensed assessor is required by law before the area can be reoccupied. For non-friable work we still provide documented clearance as best practice.
