Dental Practice Fitouts

Precision-built dental practice fitouts

We build dental practice fitouts across Brisbane and the Gold Coast — from single-chair suburban practices in Toowong or Aspley to multi-chair group practices in Robina or Bundall — that support clinical efficiency, meet Queensland Health and infection control standards, and present a premium patient experience.

Why dental needs a specialist builder

The intersection of clinical construction & specialist equipment

Every chair bay requires dedicated electrical circuits, dental unit water lines, compressed air, suction lines, and cabinetry designed around the specific chair unit being installed. Sterilisation rooms require compliant infection control flows separating dirty and clean instrument paths. X-ray rooms require radiation shielding. Waiting areas need to manage patient anxiety through acoustic separation from clinical sounds.

Not every commercial builder has the experience to coordinate all of this — Innovare Commercial does.

Dental spaces we build

Every zone of a modern practice

Treatment & chair bays

Built around the dental unit (Planmeca, Sirona, A-dec or equivalent) with cabinetry sized to manufacturer requirements, integrated delivery unit connections, light provisions and impervious flooring.

Sterilisation rooms

A compliant instrument reprocessing workflow — dirty receipt, cleaning and thermal disinfection, inspection and packaging, autoclave, and sterile storage — with impervious surfaces and entry handwash.

X-ray & imaging rooms

OPG and CBCT rooms with radiation shielding incorporated into walls, floor and ceiling to a radiation physicist’s specification, coordinated for Queensland Health approval.

Reception & waiting

Reception counters with integrated and accessible storage, clear sightlines to entry, and waiting areas designed to minimise acoustic transmission from clinical areas.

Consultation rooms

Separate treatment-planning or specialist review rooms built to the same infection control and acoustic standards as treatment bays.

Compliance

Compliance for dental fitouts

Dental fitouts sit across radiation safety, infection control and disability access. We construct to the physicist’s shielding specification and ensure the build is complete and correct before equipment installation.

  • Radiation Safety Act 1999 (Qld) — X-ray room shielding
  • Infection control guidelines (NHMRC)
  • AHPRA registration environment standards
  • AS 1428 — accessible treatment room
  • NCC fire, egress & building services
  • QBCC licensing for all construction works
Dental Fitouts FAQ

Questions we're often asked

We coordinate rough-in provisions to the equipment supplier’s specifications. Final equipment installation is typically performed by the manufacturer’s representative, but we ensure construction is complete and correct before they arrive.
Shielding design is provided by a qualified radiation physicist. We construct to their specification — this may include lead-lined plasterboard, concrete block walls to a specified thickness, or lead sheet within wall cavities.
We have built practices with 4–10 chair bays and can accommodate any practice size within the available tenancy. We advise on optimal bay sizing and spacing for the specific chair units being installed.
Yes. We have experience with dental practices in shopping centre locations and manage the additional layer of centre management approval and construction compliance required.
